The President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan has awarded a PhD,

 

The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan has been awarded an honorary doctorate (PhD) by the University of Dar es Salaam. It has been 11 months since he said he tried to do a PhD but due to many responsibilities he failed.

The head of state was awarded the doctorate today, Wednesday November 30, 2022 by the Dean of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Jakaya Kikwete at the 52nd graduation of the university held at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam 
"With the authority entrusted to me, I am awarding you an honorary degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, congratulations" said Kikwete awarding the honorary doctorate to President Samia.

 After being awarded the doctorate, President Samia expressed his gratitude while noting that he tried to seek the degree but time did not give him the chance.

"I received this award with great humility. But I asked myself several questions because in the past I tried to find this degree but time did not give me the chance," said President Samia

On January 27, 2022, during a special interview broadcast by the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) held at Chamwino Palace in Dodoma, President Samia noted that he tried to do a PhD but due to many responsibilities he failed while saying he would finish it later.
